There are many ways to make a difference.
Here are some of the ways we do it.
Our programmes
Explore our economic, sustainability and social upliftment programmes and be inspired to get involved, whether as a volunteer or by making a donation. A business can also sponsor a specific project if they so wish.
Ladles of Love started as a single soup kitchen serving 70 hot meals at our first official event. Today, we support numerous other community kitchens, schools, social enterprises, and NPOs with much-needed groceries and other goods, allowing them to reach out further and touch the lives of millions of vulnerable people who need it now more than ever.
These initiatives evolve as we adapt to the changing needs of the communities in which we are active. The coronavirus pandemic has highlighted the tremendous need for support, while also forcing us to find new ways to address these challenges. This has led to Ladles of Love focussing on developing new social upliftment programmes with a greater focus on sustainability and empowerment.
Join one of our on-going programmes today by investing in non-profit organisations that help the community in South Africa such as ours. Simply get in touch to discuss how you’d like to get involved.
Current Ladles of Love programmes
Nourish Our Children – Nutrition Education Programme
By securing CSI funding we can provide food to thousands of children. Social upliftment programmes such as these also help educate them about nutrition by making healthier choices.
Realise A Dream (RAD) Enterprise Development Programme
Our Enterprise Development Programme educates, informs and empowers food entrepreneurs and agripreneurs to sustain and grow their businesses.
Sandwich and Essential Groceries Drive
The highly successful drive launched during lockdown as a network of giving and receiving is still flourishing. We make it easy for everyone to get involved and make a difference. Support us from the comfort of your home, and we’ll make sure those who need the help, receive it.
Fill A Pot – Feeding Programme
Through Fill A Pot, one of social upliftment programmes, we source, procure and secure donations of fresh produce, pulses, grains, soup mixers and essential cooking ingredients. These all go to filling the pots of our community soup kitchens on a twice weekly basis.
Feed the Soil
Feed the Soil addresses both the need for ‘zero-to-landfill organic waste and the need for Urban Farmers to grow nutritious produce in their communities.
