Donate groceries

Help us help the vulnerable by donating canned goods, non-perishables, and other essential groceries.

The Ladles of Love Essential Groceries Drive is an important step in our effort to create a sustainable solution to solving the issue of hunger that so many communities in South Africa face.

In our effort to reach as many people in need as possible, we’ve grown our network of support to extend way beyond our soup kitchens only. Through the immense generosity of people like you, we’re able to provide groceries and other essential items to our growing list of registered non-profit organisations that do incredible work in our communities, but are currently in desperate need.

The easy way to donate goods to a charity near you

We’ve made it as easy as possible to donate groceries.
You simply sign up, and then donate items from our essential groceries shopping list at your closest depot. Our drivers will collect and we do the rest – ensuring your donations get to those who need it.

Your donation goes to a good cause

Your donation stocks our pantries for our soup kitchens, and we use the goods to create food/relief parcels for families. It also is sent to the beneficiaries we support to stock their pantries for use in their cooking. Any pet food we receive goes to our relevant beneficiaries that also provide animal support in their communities.

Currently, we only have food donation centres in Cape Town and Johannesburg. If you live anywhere else in South Africa or further afield and would like to contribute, please consider donating money.

When you donate – whether your donation is canned goods, food parcels, or even animal food – you support not only one family or community kitchen, but multiple charities that touch thousands of lives.

Bulk Donations

We’re able to receive, process and redistribute large donations of food or products through our network of depots and distribution centres in Cape Town. Should you wish to make a large donation of food or products, please contact us directly at info@ladleoflove.org.za.
