Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the Ladles of Love. The Ladles of Love will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the Ladles of Love. No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.

Ladles of Love will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation. Ladles of Love will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of Ladles of Love.

Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for Ladles of Love.

Ladles of Love will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by Ladles of Love.

Ladles of Love will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, Ladles of Love will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.

Ladles of Love will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders' fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to Ladles of Love.

The personal information that is collected and stored will depend on how you interact with us and which information you choose to supply. It is likely to include your name and email address as a minimum, but may also include your address, contact number, contact preference, company details, details of your donation/attempted donation or volunteering preferences. We may also collect personal information about the donations you make to us, and this data may also be kept on record should you abort your donation at any time in the process, or the transaction should fail to complete for any reason. We will always only process and store your personal information related to your donation or donation attempt within certain criteria including, but not limited to, the following:

• To keep an accurate record of your relationship with you and any specific actions you have taken eg donating, volunteering, fundraising etc
• To process your donations and/or to thank you for them
• To contact you about an attempted donation you made that did not complete

Across South Africa, millions of young children face daily hunger, a crisis that robs them of the ability to learn, grow, and thrive. Many preschools in low-income communities simply cannot afford nutritious meals.

One in four children under five is stunted due to chronic malnutrition (UNICEF, 2024). Without proper nutrition, the cycle of poverty begins with an empty stomach.

Ladles of Love’s Nourish Our Children Programme is changing this. We deliver two healthy meals a day to preschool children and their teachers, ensuring they have the energy to learn and grow.

Right now, we feed 9,000 children across Western Cape, Northern Cape, and Gauteng and the impact is life changing. This season, our goal is to support 12,000 children for 2026.
