“Take action, inspire change, make every day a Mandela Day” – Nelson Mandela Foundation
Every year we do something extraordinary to make a difference on Mandela Day. Over the past two years, we have broken ‘World Records’, which have raised food and funds to alleviate hunger and provided massive awareness around the plight of people in our country.
This year, we aim is to raise over R3 million to alleviate hunger and provide food relief to people in poverty-stricken communities, whilst addressing more sustainable solutions around food security.
We will be attempting to break the World Record for “THE LARGEST FOOD CAN MOSAIC”, by creating a giant mosaic of Nelson Mandela at the CTICC in Cape Town, and the South African Flag at Nelson Mandela Square in Johannesburg.
The attempts will be held in two cities and aims to provide multiple ways for you to volunteer your 67 minutes for Mandela Day on Sunday 17 (CPT only) and Monday 18 July 2022.
We are encouraging families and corporate companies to come out to have fun doing good, for good and in the spirit of Mandela Day, help us take a message of #AlleviateHunger to the world.
