December is a time of hope and a time of joy but while our children are hoping for presents like new bicycles, gadgets, or computer games, many kids are dreaming of the gift of food. If Covid-19 has taught us anything, it is the importance of sharing and caring – we are one community, and whilst many of us are blessed with abundance, there are so many who are not.
We created a way to gift and share food with love over the festive season. It gives us pleasure to launch our new campaign FillaPot – R200 fills a pot with enough food to feed 100 children.
Our aim is to promote a culture of giving and gifting meals to children in need over Christmas time. With your help and that of everyone you know, together we can fill 10 000 pots and serve 1 million nutritious hot meals to people and soup kitchens in need in and around Cape Town during the festive season.
We aim to spread the love and keep the festive season festive for all in the Mother City during this period. This programme aims not only to help feed our local communities, but also create the awareness of the need for nutritious food for needy families in South Africa.
