Given the current challenges we face as a nation, the invaluable community support provided by various non-profit organisations is more important than ever. However, with the increased demand for support, many NPOs are struggling to keep up.

Ladles of Love is growing a support network for NPOs
In addition to helping vulnerable individuals through our own soup kitchens, Ladles of Love also work to support local NPOs and the amazing work they do in communities across South Africa. We provide the food to our network of beneficiaries, which they then cook and serve with love.

Extending a hand to those who need it most
Ladles of Love currently supports more than 200 beneficiaries with fresh food, ingredients, soup, sandwiches, or groceries – whichever they need to best serve the unique needs of their communities. Many of these primary beneficiaries go on to support secondary organisations that are integrated and active in their communities. This way, we combine our resources and established networks to best deliver nutritious meals to vulnerable children across the Cape Peninsula.
We’re all about sustainable nutrition solutions
Social investment in the food sector is critical to solving both poverty and hunger issues in South Africa. So, our NPO support goes way beyond the donation of food and groceries only.
To date, we’ve awarded equipment and training grants to more than 20 Community Caterers to sustain their operations and upscale their ability to feed thousands of people in need daily. Our new programme aims to support Social Entrepreneurs who grow, produce or cook food, enabling them to assist in providing food security and earn to provide for their family.
Apply for a chance to join our network
Are you involved with an NPO? Are you the head of a church, community organisation or other local active group feeding people in your area? And are you looking for ways to get funding, donations, or support? If so, you can apply to become a Ladles of Love beneficiary.
We’re also open to collaborations with fellow NPOs to create sustainable solutions for pressing social issues. Get in touch with us to share your ideas and possible ways to partner to create the change we want to see in our communities.
Note: Our beneficiary network does not assist individuals or individual families, as all our food is distributed through our vetted beneficiaries and partners that we work with consistently.
Due to the overwhelming number of applications we’ve had from NPOs and other organisations, we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to add every single applicant to our beneficiary list.
Once you’ve completed the application form, you’ll be entered into our database. Our team will contact you if your application is successful, or to gather more information from you. Please do not reapply again. If we don’t contact you, then you have not been successful at this time. We’ll keep your details on our database should we have a suitable opening in the future.
